I used to be fastidious about screen accuracy until I had children. I was watching them in front of a crappy live screen of themselves cavorting around the room having a ball seeing themselves. I was looking at the grainy screen, the video lag, the colour cast etc but the kids were excited about… the content.
Bringing up children totally changed my perspective about many things and what really matters.
Give me a tv that I can watch a movie, a sports match or play a fun Nintendo game. It’s all I need.

I’ve got a backup plan for these streaming services only offering 4K or 8K with no Full HD option. I’m hoarding all those regular Marvel/Dc Transformers Blu-ray movies like they’re the last copy in existence! But if push comes to shove, I might just splurge and grab myself a 4K Smart Monitor to avoid the pesky 4K TVs and their demonic ways. Gotta stay one step ahead of the tech-savvy demons, right?

Except I don’t need to know any of this if I don’t know if it’s Freesat (i.e. got a Freesat tuner included) or not in the first place! This simple relevancy seems to be completely ignored in the promotions and even in the actual specs these days? (and another thing; not every has or even wants the Internet, especially older people).

A warning against Sony & Samsung:
My Sony Bravia died in just 2yrs-UNREPAIRABLE. Flagship TV’S shouldn’t be disposable.
Samsung customer service shuffled me around for hours & hours until I just gave up. Over 5hrs wasted across 4 days. "That’s not my dept. I need to transfer you" is their favorite phrase. Doesn’t matter if the previous 2 operators also said that.
I, like another poster mentioned, did a ton of research before deciding on my next tv and came up with the S90D. Then I watched this video and realized that I could have saved that time researching had I just watched this video instead. Was able to purchase the 77" LG B4 through LG direct for $1,429 USD (11/04/24). Currently priced at $1,599 at LG and Best Buy). I could not be more pleased with this TV, simply amazing, especially considering the Samsung 77" S90D hasn’t dropped below $2,199 and the 77" C4 has only dropped as low as $1,869. If you shop LG direct, speak (chat) with a rep and request 15% off sale.
